The main big change with Superblast version 3 is all in the midsole. Out goes the FF Turbo Blast from Superblast 2, and in comes the FF LEAP FOAM, the same foam that they put in their top tier race shoes.

There's a new lacing system up at the top of the shoe, designed to give a little bit more stretch in the toe box with the laces going through these new cords there. And then they revert to traditional eyelets a little bit further up.

The lockdown is superb, the comfort superb, the width at the front of the shoe again superb. Everything comfort-wise with the shoe has been really absolutely amazing. I'd happily say the most comfortable long run shoe I've ever worn.

The FF plate (LEAP FOAM) is a fantastic foam, no doubt about it. It injects so much fun and life into the shoe. It's just turned up the dial a little bit just to give it a little bit more poppiness, a little bit more propulsion.

ASICS's ASICS GRIP on the bottom of the shoe, that really good sticky, tacky rubber. It's been really good running on loads of different type of surfaces, and it's been superb in all conditions so far.

With that extra stack and this newer foam, it is definitely a little bit less stable and you will notice that in some of the sharper corners. As you can see here, I actually do roll my ankle slightly going round this corner.
